Cooperative's role crucial for economic development-Speaker Nembang

Kathmandu  Aug. 7: Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairperson Subas Nembang has highlighted crucial role of cooperatives for economic development of the country.

  Addressing the 22nd general assembly of Nepal Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives Limited here on Thursday, Speaker Nembang suggested cooperative organizations to cope with problems, which are obvious in the run up to the institutional development stage.

    Noting that the task to frame the Federal Democratic Republican constitution has been expedited, he further said the new statute would be promulgated by coming January 22.

            Former Minister for Foreign Affairs Bharat Mohan Adhikari lauded NEFSCUN’s role to channelize the scattered capital for the economic transformation.

            Secretary at the Ministry of Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation Suresh Man Shrestha stressed the need to address anomalies propping up in the cooperative sector of late.

            NEFSCUN’s former chairperson Deepak Prakash Baskota underlined the need to institutionalize achievements yielded through the cooperative movement for its further advancement.
