Janasachetan, an internationally recognized saving and loan cooperative targeting to upgrade the socio-economic status of the surrounding community members was founded by Yagya Raj Dhungel, the then Head teacher of Hanumanteshwor Secondary School in company with the thirty-four social reformers on Ashoj 22, 2050 B.S. It was registered at District Cooperative Office Dhulikhel on Mangsir 1,2050 BS.

Its registration No. is 81/2050/2051. Its service has been spread to Dolakha, Kavrepalanchowk, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu district initiating from Kabre, Namdu, Mirge and Gairimudi VDCs respectively. It has its headquarter at Mainapokhari , an urbanizing transit center to Jiri , a tourist trade and Baiteshwor Rural Municipality of Dolakha , 165 kilometers north – east of Kathmandu – the capital city of Nepal.
