Cooperative’s participation in industry stressed

Kathmandu : Chairman of National Cooperative Federation Keshab Badal has said opening of industries in partnership with cooperatives would help boost national economy.
Addressing the 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Central Dairy Cooperative Association Limited Wednesday, Badal demanded government subsidy to dairy sector to avert milk holiday for both short and long terms.
Lawmakers Balkrishna Khand, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, National Dairy Development Board Director Babukaji Shrestha, Dairy Development Corporation General Manaer Ganga Timalsina stressed that the government should increase subsidy for agro sector. They insisted on the establishment of industries in partnership with the cooperatives to materiliase the dream for economic revolution.
